I am torn and ripped and dull,
Resting in this dark place,
You tossed me yesterday.
You flavored and spiced me,
Then decided - you didn't like me,
Crumpled me up and threw me away.
Your story, your words,
What YOU want to hear,
Is resting in me, my dear, my dear.
Sugar and spice,
Isn't everything nice,
But what is, is inside.
I am your discarded story.

Free Verse - Tying My Shoes
The soft, albino snake,
Wriggles out of my grasp.
I try to control it,
But it falls into a silver metal pit.
But look! A tail sticking out,
Like a flag waving in the air.
I rescue it from its misery,
Only for it to drown in a navy blue ocean.
Wriggles out of my grasp.
I try to control it,
But it falls into a silver metal pit.
But look! A tail sticking out,
Like a flag waving in the air.
I rescue it from its misery,
Only for it to drown in a navy blue ocean.
Metaphorical Poem - Y + W
The winter's day sounds like you,
Looks like you,
Smells like you,
Acts like you.
Your sharpness,
The cold in your eyes,
I get chills down my spine,
When I see you.
Snow does not match your complexion,
For your skin is as dark as a raincloud,
Before the storm,
Before YOUR storm.
Looks like you,
Smells like you,
Acts like you.
Your sharpness,
The cold in your eyes,
I get chills down my spine,
When I see you.
Snow does not match your complexion,
For your skin is as dark as a raincloud,
Before the storm,
Before YOUR storm.
Personification Poem - Lean Like a Flower
Weighted down with a drop,
Of angry dew,
The flower creeps down,
From the tapestry of blue.
But when the globe of light,
Dances into view,
The flower looks up,
And eyes the blue.
It stretches out,
And waves the light,
Into the darkness,
That is night.
Of angry dew,
The flower creeps down,
From the tapestry of blue.
But when the globe of light,
Dances into view,
The flower looks up,
And eyes the blue.
It stretches out,
And waves the light,
Into the darkness,
That is night.
